Alexander is a costume designer who plays with proportion and texture to tell stories on stage. Originally from California, he obtained his B.A. in Theatre Arts at Humboldt State University, where he designed and built costumes for student films, dance, and theater. Alexander then received his M.F.A. in Costume Design at Texas State University. He enjoys working in lively environments and places an emphasis on collaboration in his design process.
He’s been the recipient of several Meritorious Achievement awards from KCACTF Region 7 for his work on Avenue Q, Kiss Me, Kate (Revised), and Peter and the Starcatcher, the latter of which, he was selected to present his designs at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Most recently, he was recognized for his work on Cabaret by Southwest USITT and is honored to be selected as an Emerging Creative by USITT in 2020.
